A 49-year-old Lake Worth Beach woman riding an e-scooter when she was hit by a car on in early May succumbed to her injuries, according to authorities.
Melissa Kaye Kelley died May 15, about eight days after she was struck by a Chevy Silverado truck on 1115 South K Street in Lake Worth Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s reported.
According to the PBSO report, a 48-year-old person from Riviera Beach was parked in the Chevy Silverado facing south on the west side of South K Street. Kelley was riding an e-scooter south on South K Street when Kelley failed to see the Chevy truck and hit it. The incident happed about 6:40 p.m..
