Teen on electric motorcycle hit by Eagle deputy vehicle during pursuit

EAGLE, Idaho (CBS2) — Eagle Police deputies inadvertently hit a young man on an electric motorcycle while attempting a traffic stop on Monday.

According to the Ada County Sheriff’s office, Eagle deputies were responding to reports of a juvenile riding an electric motorcycle on the wrong side of the road, and allegedly driving dangerously near E. Hill Rd. and Highway 55. According to the Sheriff’s office, deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the young man fled, accelerating away from the deputy.

The Sheriff’s office says the deputy turned off his siren but kept his lights on while waiting for additional units to arrive…
