Two Ada County men arrested on Medicaid provider fraud charges

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced that investigations by his Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) led to the arrests of 36-year-old Joseph Hakizimana on four counts of Provider Fraud and 49-year-old Hussein Hamad on five counts of Provider Fraud.

The Boise Police Department assisted in making arrests.

“Every dollar in Idaho’s Medicaid program belongs to the taxpayers who funded it and the Idahoans who truly depend on it,” said Attorney General Labrador. “I’m grateful to the Boise Police Department for their partnership in making these arrests. My office will keep pursuing providers who allegedly defraud this program and the people it serves.”…
