Eagle Police pursue 12-year-old on e-bike after reckless driving stunt

EAGLE, Idaho (CBS2) — Eagle Police are reporting that a deputy had to chase a juvenile on an electric motorcycle for reckless driving.

According to Eagle Police, on May 27, just before 6:20 pm, a deputy witnessed three juveniles approach his patrol vehicle, all riding on various forms of bikes. One young man, later identified as a 12-year-old from Eagle, was riding an electric motorcycle. According to the deputy, he did a wheelie before taking off at a high rate of speed.

Eagle Police report that the juvenile then ran several stop signs, cut across front yards, rode on sidewalks, and eventually got away from the pursuing deputy. The deputy later caught up with the young man while he was riding through a park. The deputy again attempted a traffic stop, with the rider complying this time…
