KUNA, Idaho (CBS2) — Community interest in a May 26, 2026, post about a possible consolidation between the Kuna Rural Fire District and the Nampa Fire District prompted Kuna fire officials to clarify what will and will not happen at an upcoming meeting.
The Kuna Fire Board of Commissioners said it will not make a decision to consolidate with the Nampa Fire District on Wednesday, June 10. The board said “it was never the plan to have a consolidation vote at the June 10th meeting,” adding that its earlier post “could have been interpreted this way,” and it apologized for the confusion.
