BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A Lyft driver in Boise has been convicted of first-degree kidnapping, rape, and forcible penetration.
A man named Zkaria Mahmmd Al Majzoub, 44, has been found guilty by a jury on the listed charges after driving a Lyft passenger to a remote area and sexually assaulting her. According to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office, Majzoub picked a woman up after she called for a ride on Lyft on August 6, 2024. Majzoub then drove her to a remote area and sexually assaulted her.
The victim told a friend that she was on her way home when the Lyft first arrived. After significantly more time had passed than it should have taken to arrive at home, the friend looked up her location on a shared location app and immediately recognized something was wrong, according to the prosecutor’s office.
