Rain headed to Boise, with chance of thunderstorms. How long will showers last?

There’s no need to water your garden too heavily. A rainstorm is expected to roll into the Boise area.

A “pretty strong spring-like upper-level storm system that’s moving into the Pacific Northwest” will bring rain to the City of Trees on Monday night, according to Jaret Rogers, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s office in Boise.

“Rainfall amounts aren’t going to be tremendously high,” Rogers told the Idaho Statesman via phone. “We’re looking at about maybe a quarter inch or less for most areas in the Boise area.”…
