I never appreciated drive-thrus until I became a mom. Pre-mom life, if a line was too long, I’d park, get out of my car, and walk up to a counter or order window like it was no big deal.
My son was born in April 2023, and that summer, I never loved drive-thrus more. This thirsty, hot, breastfeeding mama needed a drank. Parking my car and pulling out the car seat and/or baby just wasn’t happening. Especially if he was sleeping. Now I have a three-year-old who seems to only stay still in the car, so naturally, that is where he will actually eat. Unlike him, I prefer to eat my food at a table. However, I do enjoy a tasty drink.
So here are my best local drive-thru drinks for a hot day because sometimes staying in the car and getting a drink through a window is the mini vacation you need.
