Coroner identifies woman killed after exiting vehicle on I-84 near Boise

Officials have released the name of the person who was killed on Interstate 84 between Boise and Mountain Home.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified 65-year-old Dawn Hettinger, of Nampa, as the woman who died after she was hit by at least one vehicle on Interstate 84 on Saturday, according to a Tuesday news release.

Hettinger was struck after pulling over and exiting her vehicle on the westbound side of I-84 at about 10:25 p.m., about 20 miles east of Boise near mile marker 67, Idaho State Police said. The number of vehicles involved remained unknown as of Tuesday, according to the coroner…
