CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — A Nampa mother accused in the December death of her newborn son has accepted a plea deal in which she admits to three of the four charges and faces up to 20 years in prison. Allysen Armenta will learn her sentence on Nov. 3.
Armenta pleaded guilty to three felony charges: injury to a child and two counts of evidence destruction. The latter two were Alford pleas, which means she maintains her innocence but admits the state has enough evidence to convict her.
