Annual Warbird Roundup returns to Nampa this weekend

NAMPA — Carson Spear can’t wait to host the 24th annual Warbird Roundup.

The first iteration was in 2002. It’s grown since that first year.

“Seeing the 25-plus World War II-era warbirds flying is just an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Spear said. “All the spectators get to be up close and personal with the planes, see them fire up, hear it, smell it, feel it. And then they taxi out and they take off and fly their patterns. It’s just these planes are over 80 years old, World War II-era, incredible machines, incredible pilots. It’s just a very awesome experience. That really is my favorite part.”…
