OXBOW – (Press release from Idaho Power) Idaho Power will close the boat ramp at Oxbow Reservoir Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 4 p.m. through Wednesday, Sept. 2, for maintenance work on the ramp. The reservoir will be lowered to accommodate this work, which will improve the boat ramp surface and make it usable at lower water levels.
Work is only expected to last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 2, but the drawdown and refill operation will take 24–30 hours. Water levels will drop overnight Sept. 1 into Sept. 2, and the boat launch will be closed all day Sept. 2. The reservoir should be back to its current level by the morning of Thursday, Sept. 3.
