Dominium, a leading national affordable housing owner, developer and manager, announced today the acquisition of land for Residences at Wilson Creek, a new affordable housing community in Caldwell, Idaho. The development expands Dominium’s footprint into Idaho and marks the company’s first new construction project in the state.
Once complete, Residences at Wilson Creek will provide 251 high-quality, affordable homes for individuals and families in Caldwell. The community will feature a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom town homes with modern amenities designed to meet the needs of residents.
The development is made possible through the Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, the nation’s largest source of support for the construction and preservation of affordable rental housing. In exchange for tax credits, rents are maintained at levels tied to Area Median Income (AMI), helping preserve affordability over the long term.
