The Oregon Ducks are turning the page to Week 2 after escaping a tough test against Boise State with a 34-27 win. Saturday saw Oregon in a battle the entire game, with Boise State grabbing an early 10 point lead which the Ducks had to overcome. Coming into the weekend, the Ducks were favored by as much as 24.5 points, but most times those high expectations can be a trap.
Before the season, when everyone looked at the Ducks’ Week 2 matchup against Oklahoma State, everyone thought that it may end up being a trap game with the Cowboys’ new-look roster. Oklahoma State instead lost to Tulsa in Week 1, and while it may kill the buzz for the game, Oregon needs to block out the rat poison.
Oregon opens as massive favorites against Oklahoma State
After a narrow win for the Oregon Ducks and a disappointing loss for Eric Morris’ new team, a lot of the potential upset hype has been wiped away. Instead, Oregon opens as 22.5 point favorites over the Cowboys, while the total for the game is set at 57.5 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
