‘I can think of no worse place’: Meridian City Council denies new hospital

A microhospital proposed for a busy Meridian corner will not move forward.

Nutex, a for-profit healthcare company, had proposed a 2,400-square-foot microhospital near the intersection of Eagle Rd. and Overland Rd., as BoiseDev reported. The facility was proposed to have 10 ER rooms, an imaging department, and eight overnight patient beds.

Nutex had previously proposed a location in Boise, but then pivoted to the Meridian location.
