Leaders have said no for a second time to a mixed-use project spanning a busy Meridian roadway.
The Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously voted at an August 6 commission meeting to recommend denial of the annexation, preliminary plat, and conditional use permit for Syringa Crossing, a 55-acre mixed-use community development proposed for the northwest and southwest corners of the intersection of Meridian Rd./State Highway 69 and Amity Rd.
North of Amity, the project calls for a 63,500-sq.-ft. grocery store, retail and office space, and some homes, while the area south of Amity has some residential and office space. The project could include up to 400 homes.
