BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon Thursday through 9 p.m. Thursday for parts of southwest Idaho and eastern Oregon, where scattered thunderstorms could bring lightning, rainfall and strong wind gusts.
The National Weather Service says storm outflow winds could gust up to 50 mph. That combination can quickly spread any new or existing fire.
The warning includes the Northern Boise National Forest, the Southern Boise and Western Sawtooth National Forest including the Camas Prairie, along with the Burns BLM, Steens Mountain, Northwestern Vale BLM and Baker Valley in Oregon…
