CALDWELL — Last year, Canyon County said construction of its new women’s jail was expected to be completed in late 2026 or early 2027. Construction hasn’t begun yet, however, and building materials remain untouched.
August marked one year since the Canyon County Board of Commissioners felt it had prevailed in building a women’s jail facility, the need for which has been looming over the county for the past 19 years.
