CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — A driver is facing multiple charges after police say he led them on a pursuit Monday night following reports of reckless driving and an earlier hit-and-run.
Caldwell Police tell IdahoNews.com that an officer saw the driver recklessly operating the vehicle and suspected he was under the influence. Police say they attempted a traffic stop, but the driver took off, and officers pursued.
During the chase, police say the driver hit a parked car and kept going. Police say they deployed spike strips unsuccessfully but ended the pursuit with the PIT maneuver. They say the driver complied with a high-risk stop and officers took Angel Sanchez into custody without incident…
