MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — The Meridian Police Department says officers and the Ada County Sheriff’s Office ACTION Team responded to South Andros Way and South Abaco Way in Meridian on Wednesday around 1:25 p.m. to serve an arrest warrant on 62-year-old Steven Ostlund.
Ostlund was wanted on a no-bond felony warrant issued in May 2018 for failure to appear in drug court.
Police say deputies made multiple announcements directing Ostlund to leave the residence, but he refused to comply. Ostlund also began turning on the gas inside the residence. Due to his continued noncompliance and the presence of multiple firearms inside the residence, the Meridian Police’s Special Tactics Group (STG) was called to assist at approximately 4 p.m…
