The rain may have been pouring down on Boise on Saturday night, but even the cold and dreary weather couldn’t keep many Boise State fans away from Kellen Moore’s statue unveiling.
Thousands of fans braved the elements at halftime of Boise State’s Pac-12 conference game against Texas State to watch the unveiling of Moore’s 11-foot bronze statue on The Blue.
The statue, which will eventually sit at the northwest corner of Albertsons Stadium, was wheeled out onto the edge of The Blue under a plastic tarp flecked with rain. Following a video presentation and 5-second countdown, the statue featuring Moore in his iconic left-handed windup was unveiled to one of the loudest cheers of the entire night.
“You guys have made this so special,” Moore said after the unveiling. “I couldn’t thank you enough. Go Broncos!”…
