Boise State hosted the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships, with the Broncos’ women’s team capturing a second-place finish, led by two runners who received confirmation of their eligibility less than a day before competing.
Kaiya Robertson and Nanette Novak, who placed second and sixth, respectively, in the 6K race on Friday, Oct. 30, spent the offseason wondering if they would be granted the opportunity to race at the Warm Springs Golf Course.
“It was 50-50,” Novak said. “We were just trying to mentally lock in and have the race mindset, but it’s so weird not actually knowing if you’re gonna race or not.”…
