‘Loving homecoming’: Both stabbed K9 dogs released from animal hospital, headed home

BOISE, Idaho – The two police K9s who were stabbed by a suspect early Wednesday morning and were “badly injured” are heading home. The Ada County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media Thursday that K9 Astrid and Boise Police K9 Meko were released from the WestVet Animal Hospital back home to their handlers and had a “loving homecoming.” The two dogs had spent two days in medical care and needed surgery, but are healthy enough to be released.
