Yotes hitting their stride following big wins over Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon

CALDWELL — As scary as it sounds for the rest of the country, the Yotes have found their rhythm.

The defending NAIA National Champions haven’t lost a game since Dec. 1, coming in the Cascade Conference opener against Southern Oregon where they lost 81-75. Saturday night, the College of Idaho welcomed the Raiders to their gym.

It was a completely different result this time around.

In the first meeting, Southern Oregon shot 50 percent from the field. They were held to 32 percent shooting and their lowest point total of the season Saturday night.. The Yotes got their second-straight big win in conference play with an 82-50 victory.

The College of Idaho (18-2, 12-1 conference) was entering a tough stretch of games , facing the top three teams in the conference in the next week. Friday night, they handled Oregon Tech 83-59, another team towards the top of the conference. It was a much closer game in their first contest with Oregon Tech — a 78-75 on Dec. 2— in contrast to Friday’s result.
