Time to trade record highs for rain and mountain snow

CBS 2 Boise – Our weather has been warm and dry over the last few days. In fact, gusty winds of 30+ mph in the Treasure Valley acted like a conveyor belt driving warm air from the desert southwest into Southern Idaho. Yes, this was a nice break from the cold air. No, we can’t stay this way for much longer or our snowpack will continue to suffer. We’re averaging 70-80% of normal. Each that that goes by without snow in the mountains spells trouble for our desert community. However, things are about to change.
