Report: Top Candidate Emerges As Favorite To Be Named Kentucky Offensive Coordinator

Boise State’s Bush Hamdan has emerged as the top candidate to be named offensive coordinator at Kentucky. The news was first reported by ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who reported that the deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days.

Hamdan served as the offensive coordinator at Boise State last season. Under Hamdan, the Broncos ranked No. 1 in the Mountain West for total offense and No. 3 in scoring offense.

Before his one season at Boise State, Hamdan was an assistant at Missouri for three seasons. He also had two stints at Washington, he was the offensive coordinator for two seasons (2018-19) and was a quality control coach/wide receiver coach from 2015-16. He helped lead Washington to the College Football Playoff in the 2016 season.

Hamdan will replace former offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who accepted a role with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason.
