Boise, ID – Idaho experienced a surge of lightning activity on Wednesday, with approximately 2,800 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes detected across Southeast Oregon and Southwest Idaho. This event marked the 38th highest number of strikes in a single day and the 9th highest for the month of July since records began in 2000.
