Nampa Man Sentenced to 78 Months in Federal Prison for Methamphetamine Distribution

BOISE, Idaho – Oswald Charles Reyna, a 67-year-old resident of Nampa, Idaho, has been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison following his conviction for distributing methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down after Reyna, who has a long history of drug trafficking, pleaded guilty to his fifth drug trafficking offense earlier this year.

According to court records, Reyna was involved in multiple drug transactions in the summer of 2023. On July 31, August 7, and August 21, 2023, Reyna sold methamphetamine from his home in Nampa. The investigation took a decisive turn on August 26, 2023, when police officers in Fruitland, Idaho, encountered Reyna during a suspected drug deal involving another individual and a juvenile at 2:00 a.m. A drug-detecting K9 alerted officers to the presence of controlled substances in Reyna’s vehicle, leading to a search that uncovered approximately five ounces of methamphetamine.

Reyna’s criminal history spans 26 years, with multiple convictions for drug trafficking. He pleaded guilty to this latest offense on May 9, 2024.
