CBS2 Boise – An approaching low pressure system from California has energized the atmosphere around Western Idaho. The end result has been scattered thunderstorms that have triggered pockets of gusty winds in the Boise area. But, as it goes with thunderstorms, some areas get impacted and other areas get nothing at all. So far we have seen some gusts to nearly 50 mph. This has snapped branches that have taken down some electrical lines causing numerous power outages.
