Spencer McLaughlin and guest Rian Winter of the Locked On Ducks podcast think that this is the week that restores Oregon fans’ confidence about the 2024 season.
In an episode released on YouTube just a couple of hours ago McLaughlin said, “I know Oregon fans are not feeling the utmost level of confidence going into this game after what happened against Idaho last week but as this week has gone on, I feel more and more confident in this team, and I think after this game Oregon fans are going to say, ‘okay, THAT’S the team I saw on paper during the preseason. That’s the team that was the preseason number two in the Big Ten and top five in the national title odds.'”
Winter agreed, but noted it was important for the Ducks to get off to a fast start and establish some control early. “I think the Ducks have to step on the gas early and often. I don’t think Boise State’s defense is ready for the air assault that’s going to be coming from Oregon,” he said.
“It’s about whether Oregon can handle that running game from Boise State.”
