Pyrocumulus clouds easily seen from nearby fires

CBS2 Boise – It was a hot day in the Treasure Valley with highs reaching 97 degrees. This broke the old record of 95 degrees set back in 1944. It looks like we have one more toasty day on tap for Western Idaho as we continue a southwest flow across much of the region. Look for hazy sunshine with highs in the low 90’s. A significant change is expected on Wednesday as a trough of low pressure moves in from the Pacific Northwest. This will definitely bring cooler temperatures to the entire region and maybe some showers to the valley late Wednesday and early Thursday. The mountains will have a better chance of showers on both days.
