Cars on 8th ‘unthinkable’: City of Boise set for full redesign of ‘Restaurant Row’

Downtown Boise’s restaurant row is getting a makeover. On Tuesday, the Boise City Council got an update on the second phase of improvements for the two blocks of 8th Street between Main and Bannock Streets as the city moves to make the two blocks car-free permanently. This new round of design changes will focus on the streetscape, patios, and space for pedestrians, specifically after the first phase tackled the intersections between blocks.
