Fog and low stratus are making for a hazy start in the West Central and Boise mountain valleys this morning. The fog should lift by late morning or early afternoon. Meanwhile, a shortwave passage will bring breezy winds and overnight precipitation, helping clear stagnation north of the Treasure Valley.
However, the inversion is expected to hold over the Treasure Valley and parts of southeast Oregon through Monday morning, leading to poor air quality and lingering haze, especially during the overnight and early morning hours. By Monday evening, cooler temperatures and unsettled weather will settle in, with a wet and cool pattern continuing through next week. Keep an eye out for fog and cooler conditions in the coming days!
