Rain and Snow in Southeast Oregon, Slow-Moving Front Reaches Idaho

A slow-moving weather front is bringing rain and snow to southeast Oregon this morning, with Burns and Baker City receiving more precipitation than expected. The front is advancing slowly into southwest Idaho, prompting updates to local forecasts.

While light precipitation is expected over the West Central Mountains and Baker County, stagnant air continues to create poor air quality in the Treasure Valley and Boise Mountains. A stronger cold front will arrive Monday evening, bringing more widespread showers, especially in the mountains. Although precipitation amounts have been revised down due to lower moisture levels, the Central Idaho mountains are still expected to receive the heaviest rainfall. Temperatures will remain mild, with light winds and mostly clear skies in areas outside the precipitation zones.
