PHOENIX – Lindsey Brist was a student at Arizona State University when her hometown team, Boise State, first came to the Fiesta Bowl in 2007.
Brist, an Eagle High graduate who later transferred to Boise State from 2008-10, attended that iconic Bronco win over Oklahoma then was back in 2010 to watch the Broncos beat TCU in their second Fiesta Bowl.
She was traveling and unable to attend Boise State’s return to the Fiesta Bowl in 2014, but for their fourth trip, Brist is much more involved with the game.
Brist is a member of the Fiesta Bowl Yellow Jacket Committee, which according to the Fiesta Bowl is “a team of community leaders, who dedicate themselves in work with sponsors, volunteers, staff, and the Board of Directors to support the Fiesta Bowl and other events.”
She was on the tarmac at the Sky Harbor Airport’s Executive Terminal on Saturday to welcome the Broncos upon their arrival in Arizona. The Broncos (12-1) will play Penn State (12-2) on Tuesday in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal in nearby Glendale.
