An open house hosted Wednesday provided a look into the draft plans for the Ada County Sheriff’s Office’s strategic plan that will guide the department’s actions.
The sheriff’s office’s strategic plan functions as a roadmap for the department, guiding the agency in both broad objectives and measurable metrics to better determine the trajectory of the agency. Compared to the prior strategic plan that hadn’t been updated since 2011, the new plan — set to be finalized next week — will be evaluated every six months, a change Ada County Sheriff Matt Clifford said would allow the largest law enforcement agency in the state to better adjust to the growth in the county.
“You know how much our community has changed over the years — this strategic plan has to be able to change with that as well,” Clifford said. “If we have to switch gears … we want to be able to do that.”…
