Police chief: Crime is down in Caldwell

CALDWELL — Caldwell’s chief of police, Rex Ingram, gave a presentation to the city council last Tuesday updating the community about the police department’s activities and public safety. With a population just under 80,000 — up from just over 50,000 a decade ago — Caldwell employs about 1.12 officers for every 1,000 residents.
