See inside: Long-awaited steakhouse to open with swanky, old Hollywood feel

When you walk into the new Corso Italian Steak in Boise, it feels like you’ve stepped back into a more retro, glamorous era.

Instead of feeling like one of the many previous concepts in this building, Corso has a distinct, moody vibe. The red and black color scheme with dark lighting might even make you imagine you’re a member of the Rat Pack or rubbing elbows with 1960s Hollywood stars.

That’s the goal that DBS Hospitality said it strived to achieve with Corso, which will open on Monday, March 24, at 1555 S. Broadway Ave., after nearly 18 months of renovation and development. BoiseDev first reported plans for Corso back in November 2023.

“There is a need for more upscale casual dining experiences in the Boise area, and Corso will fit that need,” said DBS Hospitality Principal Barry Werner. “We’ll give our patrons a chance to have both an outstanding culinary and aesthetic experience. We’re extremely excited to roll this out to the public.”…
