Storm Watch in Boise: Rain, Thunder, and Snow Showers Expected Until Tuesday at 9 AM

Boise, ID – Rain, thunderstorms, and even snow are forecast to impact Boise through early Tuesday morning as a storm system moves across southwestern Idaho.

According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest precipitation is expected Monday afternoon through late Monday night, with up to an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning after noon. Winds will increase out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph before shifting northwest and calming overnight. Thunderstorm activity could bring brief bursts of heavier rain, with rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter inch, and higher totals in storms.

Snow may mix in after midnight Monday into early Tuesday, especially in higher elevations and colder pockets. The chance of rain and snow continues through 9 a.m. Tuesday before tapering off.
