Six young people injured when SUV leaves local road, crashes through fence and overturns

INKOM — Six young people suffered injuries early Sunday evening when an SUV careened off a road just outside of Inkom, crashed through a fence and overturned, authorities said.

The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office said the crash involving a Jeep Grand Cherokee with six occupants occurred around 7:30 p.m. on West Portneuf Road near Leo Lane.

Authorities said everyone in the SUV — one juvenile and five people between the ages of 18 and 19 — were transported to Portneuf Medical Center. Four were taken by ambulances and two by private vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said…
