Boise Police arrest two men for possession of pipe bombs

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Boise Police have arrested two men for unlawful possession of explosive devices.

58-year-old Brian Rodriguez and 50-year-old Nikolas Hill have been arrested after police responded to a report of what appeared to be a pipe bomb. According to BPD Rodriguez, “recklessly handled one of the devices by shaking it and dropping it less than three feet from a police officer,” after first being approached by police.

Officers were first contacted on February 15 and responded to a home on Beechwood Drive. The BPD Bomb Squad was called out and set up a perimeter while bomb techs rendered the devices safe…
