After years of lying largely dormant, plans are in place to have Boise’s Simplot Hill undergo a more than decadelong makeover that will bring a feature-rich, publicly accessible park to the north Boise hilltop.
While the plans for the park would bring a significant change for the hillside — located between Cartwright Road and Bogus Basin Road — the Simplot Family Foundation made clear that one particularly iconic feature will remain.
“The hilltop land is no longer residential and is now ready for the next chapter in its history,” Scott Simplot, who is a part of the project’s planning team, said in a release from the Foundation. “And the flag will stay.”…
