A local chef has a chance to add a significant accolade to his list of achievements.
Salvador Alamilla, owner and head chef of Amano, is a finalist for the Best Chef: Mountain region award from the James Beard Foundation. The James Beard Awards, given annually, “are among the nation’s most prestigious honors” that “recognize exceptional talent and achievement in the culinary arts, hospitality, media, and broader food system,” according to the foundation’s website .
