Boise, ID (CBS2) — The Boise Depot, a cherished landmark in the city, is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a series of events from April 13 to April 16.
The depot, which opened on April 16, 1925, played a pivotal role in connecting Boise to the rest of the country by rail and has since become a hub of travel, commerce, and community.
Boise Mayor Lauren McLean emphasized the depot’s significance, saying, “The importance of the Boise Depot to our city’s past, present and future is immeasurable. From its early days as a gateway to the West to its current use as a wedding and event center, I know our residents join me in holding deep and fond memories of time spent inside its walls.”…
