Boise Airport introduces program for travelers with hidden disabilities

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Airport has announced the launch of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program, aimed at improving the travel experience for individuals with invisible disabilities. The initiative allows travelers to discreetly signal their need for additional support through a recognizable green lanyard adorned with sunflowers.

The lanyard serves as a subtle indicator to airport staff that the wearer, or someone in their group, may have a hidden disability. Airport employees wearing sunflower pins are available to assist those in need.

“There are no eligibility requirements to request or wear a Sunflower lanyard,” said airport officials. “It’s a simple tool to help you navigate the airport. By wearing the lanyard, you alert our team that you may benefit from extra support.”…
