Boise community protests police killing of autistic teen Victor Perez

BOISE, Idaho — Demonstrators gathered in Boise on Saturday to protest the police shooting of Victor Perez, a 17-year-old autistic teen with cerebral palsy who died last week after being removed from life support after being shot nine times by the Pocatello Police.

The protest, organized by the newly formed Victor Project, drew community members demanding accountability and justice for Perez.

“We are here demanding justice for Victor Perez, after he was a victim of police brutality in Pocatello,” said Cyrus Wisdom, co-founder of the Victor Project. “Our main goal right now is just to spread awareness.”…
