BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — It has been one year since Ada County Sheriff’s Deputy Tobin Bolter was shot and killed in the line of duty. His death left a community in mourning as officers from across the state, and beyond, came to pay their respects at a funeral procession that went on for miles, closing roadways from Eagle to Nampa as residents waved flags and paid respect to the fallen deputy.
At the funeral, Deputy Tobin Bolter’s wife, Abbey, thanked the community of law enforcement Officers, her church, and friends. She said, “You have loved me so well since the night of April 20th. I could not have comprehended the support for our family.”
In the year since his death, Deputy Bolter’s passing has inspired a spirit of giving and support.

Deputy Bolter was a man of faith and service.
