Ada County Sheriff’s Office remembers fallen Deputy Tobin Bolter with candlelight vigil

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Ada County Sheriff’s office marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of Deputy Tobin Bolter with an intimate candlelight vigil Monday night.

Deputy Bolter was conducting a routine traffic stop on the night of April 20, 2024, when a man later identified as Dennis Mulqueen fatally shot Deputy Bolter through the driver’s side window. Mulqueen was shot and killed by Boise Police officers after refusing to be taken into custody.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office says that the candlelight vigil was held with fellow first responders and Deputy Bolter’s family in attendance…
