Nearly 2,400 sheep make their way through town, cross Hwy 55

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Nearly 2,400 sheep made their way through Eagle and across Hwy 55 as local rancher Frank Shirts and his crew herded them toward their spring grazing grounds in the Boise foothills.

Hundreds of people showed up to watch the crossing of the sheep, lining the highway for blocks in either direction of Beacon Light. The sheep will spend the summer grazing their way through the foothills before making their bi-annual trek back to Shirts Ranch in Wilder…
