After a windy Monday, Treasure Valley forecast says hot weather by Friday

The Boise metro area saw wind gusts between 25 mph and 40 mph for much of the day Monday , but the National Weather Service predicts calmer and warmer days ahead. By Mother’s Day weekend, temperatures are predicted to get into the low 90’s, potentially breaking a record .

The week kicked off with a high around 69 and northwest winds around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph in the afternoon, according the National Weather Service .

Monday’s wind was expected to settle to between 11 mph and 16 mph in the evening, with the potential of gusts up to 30 mph after midnight…
